Michael joined Pelorus from EquaTerra, Inc., where he was a member of their Global HR Outsourcing & Insourcing practice and focused primarily on content and process optimization during the assessment, vendor selection, evaluation and negotiation phases of complex outsourcing transactions, primarily for Fortune 500 Companies.
Michael is an accomplished business leader with expertise in services procurement, business process outsourcing (BPO/HRO), and diverse HR disciplines. He has extensive line and operating experience at Union Carbide Corporation and Dow Chemical Company, where he held both major divisional HR business partner roles and HR corporate functional roles. Michael led the development of a Services Procurement organization, is adept at driving strategy into cost effective metric driven service delivery models, and is experienced in major re-organizations and mergers and acquisitions.
Michael is active in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and other trade groups dedicated to improving HR service delivery. Michael received a B.A. from Hamline University in St. Paul and attended the University of Minnesota for an M.A. in Industrial Relations.
